The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) is a school of the College of Science. It was established in 2002 with the mission to make a strong contribution to biological and biomedical sciences. Research areas at SBS include infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases and telomere biology and genome function. Since then, many talented individuals from around the world and Singapore have joined SBS as scientific leaders, and researchers.

Our lab is seeking to hire a research assistant to complete wet lab and dry lab work related to a recently awarded grant on phase separation, protein-protein interactions and 3D genome organization in cancer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Devise experimental plans and formulate hypotheses for conducting experiments (includes wet lab and dry lab work)
  • Conduct experiments and plan for new experiments based on the findings
  • Be responsible for publishing and presenting research work as presentations and research manuscripts as well as contributing to the writing of new grant proposals
  • Be responsible for ensuring and contributing to lab safety and efficient lab operations


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/related disciplines
  • Ideally should have interest in pursuing a PhD or be in the final years of finishing a PhD.
  • Interest in Cancer Biology
  • Interest in phase separation
  • Interest in 3D genome organization
  • Interest in bioinformatics and data analysis of next-generation sequencing data
  • Ideally should have submitted at least one paper for publication in a reputable research journal (for example, impact factor > 10)
  • The position entails 2-3 research projects, expected to lead to 2-3 research papers.
