Job Description
To support NTU Education 2025, this role is critical as part of the Career & Attachment Office (CAO)'s strategy to develop NTU students into future-ready graduates. This strategic role of a Career Coach (with a dual role as Career Business Partner to Schools and Colleges) guides, coaches and empowers NTU undergraduate and postgraduate students in their personal self-discovery, career exploration and professional development, thereby enhancing their employability and employment aligned to their career interests and goals.

Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 personalised career coaching and small group coaching.
- Guide students in the exploration of their career preferences, strengths, values and career interests.
- Administer self-assessment and career profiling tools, where necessary, to enable students to better understand themselves.
- Coach students in their early career exploration and planning.
- Provide students with information and resources on career related topics (job search strategies, resume writing, interview skills, industry skills frameworks, career workshops etc).
- Conduct resume critique and mock interview coaching sessions.
- Coach students in strategies for internship and job search.
- Collaborator and Point of Contact (POC) to respective School's leadership on career related matters.
- Engage students, student groups and faculty members on career awareness and preparation matters.
- Customize and design school-specific career initiatives and programmes to increase the employability of students (eg career and industry talks, alumni-sharing sessions, bespoke workshops).
- Involve in Schools' outreach programmes (eg Career Day).
- Provide regular statistics for reporting and strategic decision making.
Requirements
- A recognized degree with 9 to 10 years' experience including at least 5 years' experience in in career coaching / counselling / career services / graduate recruitment / human resources / executive search / learning and development. Additional career coaching certification(s) would be an added advantage.
- Possess qualifications/certification in self-assessment and career profiling tools.
- Experienced coach with excellent coaching skills and ability to engage young adults.
- Knowledgeable in traditional and technology/AI-enabled career coaching tools.
- Knowledgeable of industries and workplace and employer expectations.
- Strong initiative, self-motivated, and focused in helping students achieve career success.
- Change agent and constantly initiating new ideas within the College-level team of Career Coaches to increase awareness and CAO's services to the students.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Active listener with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Meticulous with strong organization and administration skills.
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office tools.
- A positive demeanor and work attitude.
