The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Associate on a 8-month contract at the Centre for Research in Child Development (CRCD), Office of Education Research (OER).

Project Title: Preparation of the 4th Tranche Report for CRCD

Project Introduction: The aim of this project is to prepare a report of CRCD's achievements during the 4th tranche of funding provided by the Ministry of Education, Singapore.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will assist the project leaders in compiling the relevant information to produce an end-of-tranche report to the funding agency. This would involve identifying and synthesizing insights from a broad range of research projects around the topic of early childhood education and development. This position requires excellent research, writing, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently.

• Masters degree in Psychology, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field from a University of good standing
• At least 3 years of research experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language to perform literature synthesis and prepare research reports
• Good project coordination and administration skills, including data management and record keeping
• Experience with conducting literature synthesis and creating visual infographics for presentations
• Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines
• Able to work independently
• Self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed

Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature review, literature synthesis, and prepare research reports
• Liaise and work closely with researchers and faculty members to compile relevant information about their research projects
• Manage meticulous record keeping of the research project and oversee data management and archiving
• Carry out any other duties as required by Principal Investigator
