RRIS is the leading research institute in rehabilitation, and it is the first of its kind in Singapore to focus on rehabilitation. The project officer in RRIS will provide research and domain expertise in the field of the built environment and its impact on participation, psychosocial wellbeing, and public health indicators. He/she will also contribute expertise in the fields of musculoskeletal, aging and rehabilitation research. This contributes to RRIS' diversity of work and facilitates interdisciplinary research to achieve excellence in rehabilitation research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide research and domain expertise in the field of the built environment and its impact on participation, psychosocial wellbeing, and public health indicators
  • Contribute expertise in the fields of musculoskeletal, aging and rehabilitation research
  • Conduct qualitative research interviews and assessments. This includes coordinating data collection, including and not limited to the recruitment of participants and liaising with external partners.
  • Assist in project management - includes ethics application, monitoring project progress, managing audit trail
  • Assist in data analysis- To primarily use qualitative tools such as NVivo; to familiarize with quantitative tools such as "R" or Stata, when needed
  • To facilitate the planning of the research project and provide support in project administrative matters
  • To assist in preparing for manuscripts, reports, poster and oral presentations, abstracts and grant applications
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned


Job Requirements:
  • Degree in therapy, psychology, nursing, social work or any related courses
  • Experience in healthcare sector and/or qualitative research is advantageous
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to speak multiple languages and dialects will be advantageous
  • Able to work independently
  • Keen interest in research and motivated
  • Able to problem solve and demonstrate resourcefulness
  • Good organizational skills
  • Able to work well in a team
