A research assistant position is available at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Nanyang Technological University of Singapore for a human-robot teaming project. We are seeking potential researchers in the area of localization and sensor fusion, especially applications of computer vision. Enthusiastic and self-motivated research candidates with strong publication record and research profile are welcome to apply.

The research assistant will be responsible for undertaking in-depth research in the human-robot teaming solution, and ensure the solution can be implemented and demonstrated in real life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new state-of-the-art localization and sensor fusion algorithms for human-robot teaming.
• Implement and conduct experiment to evaluate the performance in real life environment.
• Integrate solution with other work packages.
• Publish high-quality research papers with research outcomes in top-tier international journals and conferences.

Job Requirements:

• The candidate should have a Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Candidates with strong publication record in relevant areas are encouraged to apply.
• A thorough knowledge of the research field of localization and sensor fusion is highly preferred.
• Experienced in computer vision.
• Experienced in ROS.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills in English.
