Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) in School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Variational and geometric structures in nonequilibrium thermodynamics
  • Geometric modeling for fluid dynamics and elasticity
  • Structure preserving methods for partial differential equations in continuum mechanics
  • Implementation of relevant numerical experiments


Job Requirements:
  • PhD degree in mathematics
  • Relevant research experience in several of the following areas: Geometric mechanics / Geometric structures and their applications to mechanics, fluid dynamics, elasticity / modeling in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics / structure preserving methods for PDEs / coding of fluid type numerical scheme
  • Enthusiasm, good communication skills, and being able to conduct independent research
