The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Collaborate with other researchers (including PhD students and research staff) to conduct research on the structure-property relationship of additive manufactured (AM) alloys under the supervision by Prof. Gao Huajian.
Perform multiscale simulations (DFT, MD, FEM, Phase field model) to obtain fundamental understanding of the deformation mechanism of AM alloys and develop physics-based models for the verification and prediction of mechanical properties.
Deliver project millstones timely and present the work on internal and external conferences.
PhD degree in solid mechanics/computational mechanics/mechanics of materials
Rich experience in theoretical and computational mechanics
Good communication and writing in English
Good interpersonal skills;
Strong responsibility for research work.
Publication track record is an advantage
We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
