The eVTOL Research and Innovation Centre at School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is looking for a Research Fellow in the area of Aero Performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in aerodynamics and aeroelasticity using computational tools to push the boundaries of overall aircraft performances.
  • Lead research initiatives to optimize overall aero performance and aerodynamic and structural efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative strategies to enhance aircraft performance envelopes.
  • Conduct advanced research on the aeroelastic behaviour of aircraft structures, ensuring stability and control under various aerodynamic loads.
  • Analyse and interpret experimental and flight test data to contribute to the development of high-performance aircraft.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers, engineers, and scientists to foster an interdisciplinary approach to aerospace research.
  • Participate in collaborative research projects and contribute insights to improve overall aircraft performance.
  • Document research methodologies, results, and insights in comprehensive reports.


Job Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any related field.
  • Proven research experience in aerodynamics, aero performance optimization, and aeroelasticity.
  • Expertise in CFD tools, finite element analysis, and advanced engineering research methodologies. E.g. ANSYS, NASTRAN, etc.
  • Strong publication record in relevant research journals.
  • In-depth understanding of aircraft design principles and performance factors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English skill is a must.
