Fraunhofer@NTU invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidates will be responsible for conducting novel research, development, evaluation, and demonstration of cutting-edge and advanced quantum communication technology and related software services that will result in new technologies and services. The role holder will be required to design, implement, assess and deploy quantum communication technologies, related quantum-network service architectures, and network analytics (e.g. network performance, security, or anomaly detection).

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience planning and executing projects related to quantum communication architectures, and network service infrastructures.
• Strong interest in building and evaluating quantum communication systems and/or related network service architectures
• Strong programming capabilities (C/C++, Python, and/or VHDL/Verilog)
• Publish, participate, and serve in the research community through conferences, consortiums, workshops, etc.
• Build and strengthen university relationships and pursue collaborations with universities, and other academic/industry research labs.
• Experience in (co-)advising and (co-)mentoring students.
• Experience in acquiring internal/external funding, presentation of research proposal, and research outcome to funding agency/stakeholder.
• Possess solid programming skills and experience in frontend/backend development. Full-stack development skills are preferred.
• Good communication skills and a good standard of English (both written and spoken). Speaking multiple languages is a plus.
• Good team player with both research and engineering ethics.
• Build and strengthen intra-/inter-university relationships and pursue collaborations with universities, and other academic/industrial research labs.
