The Centre for Antimicrobial Bioengineering at the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) is seeking candidates to work as a Research Fellow to design and synthesize symbiotic combinations and probiotic coatings.

The Research Fellow will also assist with the management of the Center, such as procurement, lab safety, proposal preparation, prepare technical reports for the program PIs, assist with organization and management of the research team, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and synthesize new coatings for probiotics for improved health of aquaculture
• Work with PhD students as well as research staff to achieve the project goals
• Develop and execute experiments aimed at the design and synthesis of probiotics coatings and synbiotics
• Do the structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies of the coating of probiotics and toxicity
• Prepare technical reports for the program PIs and present data at regular group meetings
• Draft research publications/proposals.
• Supervision of Graduate students.
• Assist with organization and management of the research team, such as upkeeping of laboratory safety, procurement, Goods Receive, lab safety, report, and proposal preparation, etc.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree, with degree in chemical engineering, materials science or biological sciences or related fields.
• Capacity to learn and be a self-starter, and highly self-motivated
• Expertise in developing and interpreting experiments SAR for probiotics will be advantageous.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written, as well as organizational
