The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand the research project and work context as a scientific research staff in the team
• Apply scientific, technical and software engineering skills to conduct research
• Develop prototypes to demonstrate successful application of the research
• Facilitate technical development, testing and refinements of research project
• Promote collaborative and translational research work
• Documenting research plans and progress, and writing reports

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or related fields
• Has demonstrable experience in topics at the intersection of robust optimization, data analytics and machine learning
• Programming fluency in Python, C/C++ or Java is required
• Proficiency in developing and deploying algorithms to both academic and industrial environment are expected
• Prior background in model-based or evolutionary methods for multi-objective optimization is a plus
• Highly motivated, independent and able to work as a team
• Effective communication and report writing skills
