The Centre for Urban Solutions at School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore is seeking an outstanding Research Associate with a background in geophysics, geotechnical engineering, geoenvironmental engineering.

You will be expected to work effectively on an ongoing project, "Breaking the ground" in Semakau Landfill: technological solutions for site investigation and material reuse, perform independent and collaborative research to meet the project objectives, to develop new solutions, to seek funding for new research directions, and to publish high-quality journal papers to promote the international reputation of the Centre and the University.

Job Description:

To be involved in a research project related to geophysics, geotechnical engineering. The key objective of this project is to develop site investigation techniques for a landfill containing mixed non-incinerable wastes.

Job Requirements:

• A MS Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geophysics, or equivalent from a recognised university
• Have good knowledge in the topics mentioned above
• Able to work independently and collaborate with team members
• Good verbal and written communication in English
• Working or research experience of at least 1 years is desirable
