The School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the research and execution of a research project on Experimental work and research for process development to convert seafood processing side-streams to food ingredients
• Lead other team members in developing various aspects of converting seafood processing side-streams to food ingredients
• Lead research project planning and provide support for all project-related activities
• Assist PI in procurement of equipment and consumables
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• A PhD in Science or related fields
• Relevant education background or research background in food science and technology are strongly encouraged to apply
• Prior working experience with food industry would be an advantage
• Prior working experience and be competent in processing technology, fermentation, and understand zero-waste processing
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Good team player with good communication & interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and willingness to learn
