The Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) at the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore invites applications for Research Fellow. The main theme of fellowship is on "The New Political Economy and Public Governance in a Globalizing Asia", with a focus on China and/or Southeast Asia (Singapore in particular), including ASEAN integration in the context of changing geopolitics and the new international political economy, such as the RCEP and Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Director of NCPA, who will serve as the primary mentor, and other research staff at NCPA as well as the School of Social Sciences
  • Help coordinate NCPA's research activities within NTU (including the Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship Programme) and with external partners


Job Requirements
  • PhD in one of the relevant fields of Asian studies, international political economy, political science, public policy, sociology, ethnic studies, and global history. Interdisciplinary and comparative approach to Asian political economy in the context of globalization and new geopolitics is also welcomed
  • Demonstrated records in publication and research activities in the relevant research themes. Preference will be given to those who have experiences in the Asian region and are able to connect area studies with on-going discourses about the international political economy and public governance
