A Research Associate position is available in the Centre for Bio-Devices and Bio-Informatics, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Description:

The Research Associate will work on a project to conduct the research on development of biolaser formed by cells. The duties and expertise needed includes:

• Development of new sensing principles for extracting cell laser information and features
• Experiment on bio-photonics measurement
• Guiding Undergrad students on their projects
• Physical simulations of lasers and electrical fields

Job Requirements:

• Master in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Optical Engineering, with at least 2 years research experience in photonics, optical bioimaging system, and biomedical optics
• Expertise in optofluidics and fluidic simulations
• Work on a project to conduct the research on development functional micro and nanolaser which can be used for cell sorting
• Must have published SCI papers as first authors in related field
• Experiences in sensing and analysis with biophotonic tools
• Publication track record is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English paper writing and project organization
• Good teaching ability
