A Project Officer position is available in the Protective Technology Research Centre (PTRC), School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The project is on blast resistance of precast structures.

Job Description:

• Literature reviews and specimen preparation
• Help prepare test setup and conduct tests
• Help conduct post-test analysis and simulations
• Help draft test and simulation reports

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Good grades in Structures- related courses in undergraduate degree
• Able to carry out experimental work (for model validation)
• Adequate structure concepts and knowledge to finish test analysis
• Good knowledge of structural dynamics and basic knowledge of blast analysis of structure
• Simple programming skill using Matlab or Excel spreadsheet
• Structural modelling using ETABS or similar software
