A Project officer is available in the Centre for System Intelligence and Efficiency, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The Project officer will support the research for the project titled Adaptive Multimodal Learning for Robust Sensing and Recognition in Smart Cities.

The project entitled "Adaptive Multimodal Learning for Robust Sensing and Recognition in Smart Cities" aims to:
  • Propose a novel multimodal learning model based on deep neural networks and self-attentions for robust representation learning.
  • Propose a transfer learning scheme that is able to transfer the knowledge learned from time-series sensor to a new scenario for data-efficient learning.
  • Propose a domain adaptation algorithm that minimizes the domain discrepancy in feature space for domain-invariant learning.


Job Description:
  • High-level modeling and implementation of Neural Networks (using tools e.g., Pytorch)
  • Responsible for designing and developing new vulnerability detection framework which is more scalable and more accurate
  • Assistants for data collection and manual coding of the datasets
  • Responsible for developing deployable prototype systems based on research results
  • Responsible for writing research papers of high quality based on research results


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related areas
  • Research experience in related area, including Neural Networks or Deep Learning
  • Knowledge in software development and hardware accelerator setup (e.g. GPU)
  • Familiar with any of the major deep learning libraries, including Pytorch, TensorFlow, MatConNet
  • Proficiency in basics of programming languages such as C, C++ and Python
  • Proficiency in English
