The NTU education strategy 2025 is leveraging learning analytics to improve teaching and learning. This position is similar in nature to a business analyst but for advancing the use of data for teaching and learning purposes. The position is critical for communicating with faculty and students to get their buy-in on the learning analytics goals of the university. The candidate would also be responsible for gathering faculty, students and schools' teaching and learning needs, and translating the needs into meaningful learning analytics solutions. Finally, the candidate will be responsible for enhancing the data literacy of faculty and students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualise the communication plan for learning analytics with various units in the university
- Seek opportunities to collaborate with internal and external parties to achieve the learning analytics goals
- Engage students and support faculty champions to increase acceptance and adoption of learning analytics,
- Communicate with these end-users and analyse their business needs,
- Conduct risk assessment to mitigate likelihood of major backlash due to use of student learning data
- Manage learning analytics pilots with the data scientists and data engineers,
- Develop and continuously enhance dashboards and other visualisation tools for intended users,
- Conduct data literacy training and consultancy with data scientists,
- Explore new ways of using analytics to improve teaching and learning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Business Analytics, Data Science and related fields.
- At least five years of experience as a business analyst or experiences working on data related project in a university setting.
- Experienced in developing dashboards and other visualization tools such as Qliksense and Power BI.
- Some technical knowledge relating to AI/ML would be ideal.
- Strong listening, persuasive communication, and networking skills.
- Strong ability in translating user needs into a data science problem.
- Strong understanding of data science or analytics and governance.
- Familiarity of various data governance framework issued by PDPA would be ideal.
- Team player, strong ability and willingness to support other work areas of the department when needed.
