The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Synthetic research in organic synthesis of polymer additives
• Characterization of organic compounds
• Development of new methods to synthesize polymer additives
• Maintenance of key instruments
• Administrative duties, e.g. purchase of chemicals and equipment
• Drafting reports, papers, and proposals
• Coordinate collaborations with ExxonMobil

Job Requirements:

• A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field, a strong publication record
• Prior experience in photocatalysis and mechanosynthesis for organic synthesis.
• A good command of writing and speaking in English will be an advantage to draft reports.
• Experience in screening and condition optimisation for organic synthesis, especially for photocatalytic and electrocatalytic reactions.
• Familiarity with mechanosynthesis is preferred.
