The School of Humanities aims to enhance its Graduate (Coursework) programme offerings, and by extension further develop its professional development capabilities through the Skillsfuture scheme. The Senior Executive is responsible for assisting the manager with the coordination and delivery of student & academic services related to the taught MA programmes in the school of Humanities. The incumbent's role is to provide support in the execution of the programme and operations of the assigned MA programme(s) by providing timely delivery of information and services to faculty, staff and students.

Key responsibilities:

Student Admission
  • Plan and schedule application procedures and timelines.
  • Process and review applications, coordinate and facilitate screening tests and interviews.
  • Support and execute marketing outreach, student orientation and information sessions.
  • Work closely with different departments at various levels within the University for student matters.


Programme operations
  • Customer service - tending to student and faculty queries.
  • Processing of various student administration matters eg. matriculation, course registration, leave of absence, thesis submission etc


Continuing Education and Training (CET) course
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth planning and running of courses.
  • Provide logistical support, including enrolment, budgeting, billing, payment, hiring and class scheduling.
  • Assist with CET enquiries and associate administrative tasks relating to the SkillsFuture Scheme.


Publicity, outreach and event support
  • Maintain programme website, Facebook page and other social media platforms, where applicable.

• Render support for seminars/webinars.

Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Polytechnic diploma in any discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a higher educational institution or management of professional education programme will be an advantage. Entry level applicants are welcome to apply.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Prior experience in event management, website creation and maintenance and familiarity with marketing on social media platforms would be advantageous.
  • Possess exceptional administrative and organizational skills, and able to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office application software.
  • Proficient in Online communication software such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
