We are embarking on an exciting endeavor to develop a smart robotic gripping system tailored for vegetable harvesting within vertical farm environments. We're seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow with expertise in Computer Vision and Control of Robotic Arm Systems to contribute to this transformative project. Join our team at NTU for the SGSR program and contribute to pioneering research in the field of robotics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance robotic arm decision-making using ROS/ROS2 and sensor-driven feedback.
  • Develop a reinforcement learning framework for precise Soft Gripper and Robotic Arm interaction.
  • Leverage Gazebo simulation for performance analysis of robotic arm and soft gripper and algorithm validation.
  • Mentor and guide student research projects.
  • Publish findings in leading journals and conferences.


Job Requirements:
  • PhD in Computer/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
  • Expertise in computer vision, ROS/ROS2, Gazebo simulation, and Soft Gripper and Robotic Arm control.
  • Proficient in C, C++, Python, Git, and Linux.
  • Knowledge of IoT, sensor fusion, and 3D-printing techniques is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial robots or autonomous vehicles preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of impactful publications.
