The Cybersecurity Research Program Office (CRPO) is anchored at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and funded by Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA). The CRPO seeks to encourage user-inspired research, technology translation, manpower training, and technology awareness in the area of security, by actively promoting research discussions across academia, industry and government agencies. Cyber Security Consortium (CSC) is a key vertical under Cyber Research Programme Office (CRPO). The focus of CSC is on translation, manangement and co-ordination between industry, academia and government agencies. We are looking for an "Program Manager" for managining and overlooking CSC. The candidate should be passionate about translation, start-ups, research, and cutting-edge security technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the Cyber Security Consortium (CSC), aligning its activities with the overall goals of the Cybersecurity Research Program Office (CRPO) and contributing to the advancement of cybersecurity technology, research, and awareness.
  • Program Management: Develop and manage a comprehensive program agenda for CSC, including technology translation, collaboration initiatives, research projects, and training programs, ensuring alignment with the objectives of the CRPO and CSA.
  • Industry-Academia Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships and collaboration between industry, academia, and government agencies to promote cybersecurity research, technology development, and knowledge sharing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, government representatives, academic institutions, and cybersecurity experts, to ensure active participation and support for CSC initiatives.
  • Technology Translation: Oversee the translation of cutting-edge cybersecurity research into practical applications and solutions that benefit industry and society, facilitating the transfer of research outcomes to commercial and operational contexts.
  • Resource Management: Manage the allocation of resources, including funding, personnel, and infrastructure, to support CSC initiatives and ensure efficient and effective operation.
  • Collaborative Forums: Organize and facilitate workshops, conferences, seminars, and other collaborative events that bring together experts from academia, industry, and government to discuss and address key cybersecurity challenges.
  • Innovation and Start-up Support: Promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the cybersecurity domain by supporting start-ups, incubators, and accelerators, and by fostering an environment conducive to the development of cybersecurity-related businesses.
  • Awareness and Education: Develop and implement programs to raise awareness about cybersecurity threats, best practices, and emerging technologies among various stakeholders, including the general public, businesses, and government agencies.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to the CRPO, CSA, and other relevant entities on the progress, impact, and outcomes of CSC initiatives.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the budget for CSC activities, ensuring responsible financial management and accountability.
  • Policy Advocacy: Advocate for favorable policies and regulations that support cybersecurity research, development, and collaboration, working closely with government agencies and industry partners.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with CSC initiatives and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the consortium.
  • Mentorship and Professional Development: Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, researchers, and participants involved in CSC activities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Measurement of Impact: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the impact and success of CSC initiatives, regularly evaluating progress toward established goals.


Job Requirements:
  • A PhD in a relevant field, such as Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline, is compulsory
  • 8-10 years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, AI, research, program management, or related fields.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in the fields of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Proficiency in AI technologies, machine learning, data analytics, and related tools.
  • Proven track record of successful leadership and management experience, preferably in a research, industry, or academic setting
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage resources, and lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in fostering collaboration and partnerships between industry, academia, and government agencies.
  • Strong network of contacts within the cybersecurity and AI communities, including professionals, researchers, and policymakers.
  • Experience in translating research findings and technical concepts into practical applications and solutions.
  • Knowledge of technology transfer processes, start-up support, and entrepreneurship within the cybersecurity and AI domains.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including executives, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders.
  • Ability to advocate for cybersecurity policies, regulations, and initiatives that benefit the consortium's objectives.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and manage comprehensive programs, initiatives, and collaborative forums within the cybersecurity and AI fields
  • Visionary mindset with the ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans aligned with the goals of the Cyber Security Consortium and the Cybersecurity Research Program Office.
  • Strong research capabilities to stay current with advancements in cybersecurity, AI, and related technologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and policy issues and provide informed recommendations.
  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for advancements in cybersecurity and AI technologies.
  • A commitment to driving innovation, research, and awareness in the field.
  • Experience in budget development, financial planning, and resource allocation for program activities.
  • Ability to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the smooth operation of consortium initiatives.
  • Willingness to provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, researchers, and participants involved in consortium activities.
  • Experience in establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact and success of consortium initiatives.
