The Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship provides the opportunity for early career scientists, engineers and scholars from Singapore and around the world to conduct independent investigations in any discipline at NTU, often regarded as the most research-intensive university in Asia. The postdoc appointment is intended to provide a pathway to an academic appointment as an assistant professor or another international postdoctoral assignment.

In this project, the Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow are expected to:

• Spearheading cutting-edge research in Neuroscience and Mental Health, as well as Microbiome Medicine, congruent with the School's overarching research strategy.
• Conduct high quality research by maintaining a focused research agenda, developing groundbreaking research proposals, and funding applications, managing and undertaking research activities, publishing in top internationally renowned peer-reviewed publications, reviewing manuscripts and grant applications when appropriate.
• Fulfill administrative obligations through active participation in academic committees and other institutional requirements, as deemed appropriate.

Key competencies and requirements:

• PhD Degree in Biological Sciences, Neuroscience, or relevant fields.
• Proven biology background with specific interests in neuroscience and microbiome sciences.
• Scientific article, proposal and report writing skills are advantageous.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good English writing and verbal communication skills.
• Productive, hard-working and dedicated.
