The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), which is under the College of Engineering, aspires to be a leading school for Protective Engineering and Technology. Currently, it has over 50 faculty members and more than 1,500 students, and is rapidly expanding its range of educational and research activities. Its faculty has led major university-wide strategic research thrusts in protective technology, protective engineering design, and dynamic and weapon effects on infrastructures and facilities. Going forward, CEE is addressing critical problems in urban environments, such as building and infrastructure protection against terrorist attacks.

Applicants should have a PhD degree in Geotechnical Engineering. Suitable candidates must demonstrate relevant industrial experience, research and teaching ability, and strong communication skills.
