A Research Fellow position is currently available in the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute - Singapore Membrane Technology Center (NEWRI - SMTC).

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricating and optimizing ceramic hollow fiber membranes
• Performing membrane surface modifications
• Membrane characterization and NF separation performance evaluations
• Exploring applicability potential of the as-developed membranes in strongly acidic wastewaters or organic solvents application

Job Requirements

• PhD from a reputable university in the field of chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or other related disciplines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong initiatives
• Good communication, interpersonal and oral presentation skills
• Good experimental skills for separation membrane fabrication and modification
• Good knowledge of membrane science and technology
• Good writing skills for proposal and report writing and track record of publication in good academic journals
