We are currently seeking a talented researcher to strengthen the biomanufacturing research activities at the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP), a centre of excellence in additive manufacturing, funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF), Singapore, and supported by Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the Economic Development Board (EDB) and Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on the use of additive manufacturing for the fabrication of 3D bioprited pancreatic models
• Develop suitable material formulations for 3D bioprinting of a pancreatic model
• Design the pancreatic model for bioprinting considering relevant aspects such as innervation and vascularization
• Support final year students, MSc and PhD students in their research activities
• Help the principal investigator in management the laboratory and research activities
• Identify, plan and prepare new research proposals to further develop this research domain

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 2-year work experiences in the area of biomanufacturing
• Expertise in biomaterial characterisation techniques
• Knowledge on cell biology
• Knowledge on additive manufacturing and the use of additive manufacturing for tissue engineering applications
• Strong publication track record
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language is mandatory
