We are looking for a research associate to be part of our robotics team conducting research and development of robotics system for applications including rehabilitation and/or assistive robotics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and development of actuators and embedded systems for robotics, including system and controller design, system integration and testing
• Design and implement model based and/or learning based controllers, including simulation and delivering functioning modules for real world deployment
• Realisation of algorithms developed into computational footprints that are suitable for deployment in robots, including optimizing the algorithms to allow for real time processing

Job Requirements:

• Master/Ph.D. degree in Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related areas
• Good understanding in one/more of system dynamics, control theories, sensors, embedded systems
• Knowledge of software and programming skills in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, Simulink, and experience with engineering simulations and prototyping tools
• Experienced in Linux programming (ROS/ROS2 will be an added advantage)
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team player
