Inspector


About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced inspector with civil background to join our site inspection and engineering team for various LTA projects including Regular Inspection Services for Commuter and RoadRelated Facilities island-wide. You will act as the site inspector of the road and commuter facilities and are responsible for capturing all the defects with measurement using Hybrid (Manual + Automated) method of inspection.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To measure and capture the defects along footpath and other commuter facilities using AFIS system.
  • Conduct routine inspections and monitor the condition of these facilities in accordance with the Specifications.
  • To provide manual inspection for roads / footpaths that have site constraints preventing the access of bicycle (AFIS).
  • Check through the reports generated by the system and do the necessary additions and amendments.
  • To make sure all the defect reports are checked and with all the information including defect description and measurement before submitting to the Authority.
  • Identify all existing conditions such as protruding tree roots, algae, stagnant water, potential mosquito breeding grounds, etc., on or around commuter and road-related facilities and notify LTA internal divisions and relevant authorities.
  • Report any incidents or defects arising from inspections that are posing immediate safety concern or inconvenience to the public immediately to the Authority’s representatives and appointed Maintenance Contractors’ Defects Reporting Centre (DRC).
  • Attend site and coordination meetings as directed.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in civil / structural engineering works, construction or other engineering equivalent as approved by the OIC.
  • Must recognise and identify defects / issues on the footpaths & walkways, cycling paths, linkways, shelters, footways, commuter and road-related facilities.
  • Good knowledge of repair methods for defects identified on commuter and road related facilities; and
  • Speaks and writes English fluently Strong attention to detail with good documentation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and able to interpret construction drawings.
  • Prefer those holding a valid Singapore driving license.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with public sector projects (e.g., LTA, PUB, HDB)
  • Basic knowledge of BIM/CAD or digital inspection tools is an advantage.
