Position: Senior Manager / Manager, Learning & Development

Reporting Line: Director, Learning & Development
Maximum Salary: Up to $6,500

Role Overview

This role is responsible for the planning, design, and development of learning curricula, managing multiple learning and development initiatives, and evaluating the effectiveness of both new and existing programmes. The position involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders as well as external partners, agencies, and institutes to support organisational learning objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities

  • Observe operational activities to identify performance gaps and areas for improvement to support business excellence
  • Partner with the Lead Corporate Trainer and operational management teams to assess the effectiveness of established learning programmes

Non-Operational Responsibilities

Curriculum Development
  • Collaborate with relevant department leads and subject matter experts to develop, review, and update training curricula
  • Design, develop, and enhance course content and lesson plans aligned with intended learning outcomes
  • Support curriculum mapping to the national skills framework for accreditation purposes

Strategic Planning & Programme Execution
  • Plan and prepare accreditation submissions to relevant government agencies and institutes
  • Support the rollout of learning initiatives using various delivery methods, including coaching, job shadowing, online learning, assessments, and audits

Process Ownership & Reporting
  • Take ownership of end-to-end processes for partnerships and accreditation programmes
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with organisational standards, policies, and accreditation requirements
  • Support assessment and audit activities
  • Track programme performance, analyse key metrics, and gather learner feedback
  • Provide regular reporting on programme status, outcomes, and improvement areas
  • Review the effectiveness of learning programmes and methodologies, implementing necessary enhancements

Programme Management
  • Manage grant-funded initiatives, milestones, and achievement of programme objectives
  • Evaluate learning programme outcomes and provide detailed analysis, recommendations, and continuous improvement actions

Stakeholder & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with strategic partners, government agencies, institutes, internal stakeholders, and subject matter experts
  • Support the Director, Learning & Development in leading and guiding the L&D team

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Learning & Development or training, with a strong focus on curriculum design, learning methodologies, and programme development
  • Practical experience mapping curricula to the national skills framework and applying for relevant grant schemes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with institutes, government bodies, and vendors
  • Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Prior experience in the Food & Beverage or service-related industry is preferred

Professional Certification (Mandatory):
  • WSQ Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP), or
  • WSQ Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE)

Additional Qualification (Advantageous):
  • Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP)

Working Arrangements

  • Five-day work week
  • Required to support at least two operational sessions per week, subject to project demands
    (Operational sessions include Lunch, High Tea, and Dinner)
