Position Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and technically skilled Senior Service Technician to join our International Programmes team. This individual will provide technical support to underwriters, market managers, and other stakeholders in all aspects of international programmes (IP) business. Responsibilities include offering compliance advice, reviewing country-specific requirements, evaluating network costs, and supporting the overall delivery of international insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Underwriting Support:
  • Work closely with underwriters to design compliant programme structures aligned with HDI Global Network's guidelines.
  • Attend meetings with brokers and clients, alongside underwriters, for new business discussions and renewal negotiations.
  • Develop customer-specific service plans and service level agreements; establish and monitor KPIs.
  • Provide underwriters with up-to-date information on local requirements, including premium allocation, network costs, taxes, and compliance.
  • Prepare and deliver International Programme proposals or presentations to brokers and customers, with post-implementation reporting as needed.
  • Escalate potential service or delivery issues to the Service Delivery Manager or relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate reinsurance requirements with underwriters for both passive and active reinsurance placements.

Programme Administration:
  • Manage the end-to-end international programme process, including pre-renewal and new business submissions to underwriters.
  • Map risk countries and perform permissibility checks.
  • Prepare detailed country capability reports and request tariff/US quotations as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain required documents (ROC, GdV, RI Scheme) and ensure accurate system input, including premium bookings in the Global Network Portal.
  • Facilitate smooth programme implementation by communicating with servicing offices and resolving operational issues promptly.
  • Work collaboratively across internal teams and within the network to address local client needs.
  • Liaise with Policy Operations to ensure all premiums are accurately calculated and booked in GERAS on time.
  • Ensure local policy issuance and invoicing are completed within defined service metrics and review documents for accuracy.

Reinsurance Support:
  • Complete reinsurance permissibility checks and handle TML approval with the reinsurance team in Germany.
  • Prepare and finalise Retrocession Agreements and coordinate changes or approvals as needed.
  • Create cashflow spreadsheets and coordinate payment instructions with brokers/reinsurers and Finance.
  • For captive involvement, facilitate approval processes with the Captive Services team in Germany.
  • Support underwriters with active reinsurance, including agreement reviews and premium booking.

Marketing & Relationship Management:
  • Support cross-class and international programme marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with the development of promotional materials for international programmes.
  • Contribute to building HDI Global SE's reputation for service excellence in Singapore.
  • Coordinate and deliver training and presentations to brokers and clients to promote international programme capabilities.

Key Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the insurance industry, with strong exposure to international programmes and technical service support.
  • Formal qualifications in insurance or a related discipline.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of international insurance programmes, compliance, and reinsurance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and organizational ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Proficient in using insurance administration systems (experience with Global Network Portal, GERAS, or similar platforms preferred).
