About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Garage Supervisor / Workshop Manager to lead and operate our automotive workshop in Singapore. This role is ideal for a highly capable individual who can run the garage as if it were their own business - taking full ownership of operations, profitability, customer relationships, and team performance.

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive basic salary with an attractive commission or profit-sharing structure tied to workshop performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full day-to-day operations of the automotive workshop
• Manage mechanics and workshop staff to ensure productivity, quality, and efficiency
• Build, retain, and expand a strong customer base (including porting over existing clientele where appropriate)
• Prepare accurate job quotations aligned with Singapore automotive industry standards
• Ensure profitability through proper costing, pricing, and inventory management
• Maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction
• Handle customer inquiries, service consultations, and complaint resolution
• Ensure compliance with Singapore safety, environmental, and industry regulations
• Monitor workshop KPIs including revenue, margins, turnaround time, and repeat business

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the automotive repair industry
• Proven experience managing or running an automotive workshop independently
• Strong business acumen with experience in P&L responsibility
• Existing customer base that can be transitioned to the new workshop
• Deep knowledge of Singapore market pricing and industry standards
• Strong technical knowledge across general repairs, diagnostics, servicing, and accident repairs
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Leadership skills with experience managing a team of mechanics
• Good communication and customer relationship management skills
