Chemical Process Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
Job Requirements:
- Develop,optimize and control electroplating processes (e.g. nickel, chrome, zinc, gold plating)
- Monitor plating bath chemistry, chemical dosing and solution parameters
- Conduct regular bath analysis and maintain proper chemical balance
- Troubleshoot plating defects such as poor adhesion, burning, pitting and uneven thickness
- Improve process efficiency, reduce chemical consumption and minimize waste
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations (NEA, PUB, MOM - Singapore context)
- Oversee wastewater treatment and chemical handling procedures
- Prepare SOPs, technical reports and process documentation
- Support quality control to meet customer specifications and coating standards
- Work closely with production, QA and maintenance teams
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in chemical Engineering or related discipline
- 15+ yrs of experience in electroplating / surface treatment industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of plating chemistry, bath maintenance and metal finishing processes
- Familiar with wastewater treatment and hazardous chemical management
- Understanding of ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001) is an advantage
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work in a production/plant environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
