Full-time Research Assistant position at the Ministry of Education (MOE)

Branch: Psychological Services Branch, Special Educational Needs Division, MOE

Duration: 14-weeks duration (around 13 Apr to 17 Jul 2026)

Project Description

The Research Assistant will support data management, resource development, and communication initiatives with mainstream primary schools. He/she will also have the opportunity to learn how to interpret psychological reports to support educational outcomes, as well as gain insights into the research and processes that shaped the policy and practice of educational psychology and intervention work in schools in Singapore. The Research Assistant will work alongside Educational Psychologists (EPs) in MOE and gain a better understanding of their work in mainstream schools.

Key Requirements:

1. A Singaporean citizen who

(i) is currently completing or has completed their:

• Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) or Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Psychology (NUS);

• Bachelor of Social Sciences (with Honours) in Psychology (NTU);

• Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) (JCU)

OR

(ii) has completed (by April 2026) their:

• Diploma in Psychology (Social Services and Special Needs Education) / Diploma in Psychology Studies / Specialist Diploma in Applied Psychology (Temasek Poly);

• Diploma in Psychology & Community Development (Ngee Ann Poly)

2. Good communication and interpersonal skills

3. Able to work independently

4. Good data management practices - Meticulous and able to manage large sets of data on Excel. Experience with the use of essential functions and formulas in Microsoft Excel is preferred but not required.
