We are hiring for our client a Learning & Development (L&D) Manager responsible for planning, designing, and developing training curriculum, managing various learning projects, and evaluating the effectiveness of both new and existing programmes. Responsibilities:
- Conduct observations to identify performance gaps and collaborate closely with the in-house Trainer and Restaurant Management to evaluate and enhance programme effectiveness.
- Partner with department heads and subject matter experts to design, review, and continuously improve curriculum and learning materials aligned with defined learning outcomes.
- Develop and update course content, lesson plans, and learning pathways, including alignment with relevant national skills frameworks for accreditation purposes.
- Plan, prepare, and submit accreditation applications while supporting the deployment of programmes through coaching, job-shadowing, e-learning, assessments, and audits.
- Oversee end-to-end processes related to partnerships, accreditation initiatives, and grant applications, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with required guidelines.
- Monitor programme performance by analyzing key metrics and participant feedback, providing regular reports and actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Manage programme milestones and objectives, evaluate learning effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, agencies, institutes, internal teams, and subject matter experts, while supporting the leadership and direction of the L&D function.
Qualifications:
- Possess WSQ Diploma (DDDLP/ DACE)
- At least 5 years of experience in Learning & Development/training, with focus on curriculum design and adult learning methodologies
- Working knowledge of national skills framework alignment and grant application processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience engaging external stakeholders
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Experience in the Food & Beverage or service industry is a plus
- Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) is a plus
