Project Manager (Facilities)

Position Objective
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced project manager to join our team. The project manager will play a vital role in overseeing and managing various construction and renovation projects within the school premises. This position requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Objectives:
• \tKey contact point between appointed main contractor and School to ensure process and safety compliance
• \tProject implementation across campus
• \tSupport accelerated project execution and delivery
• \tOther jobs assigned by supervisor
Primary Responsibilities
Project Planning and Scheduling
• \tDevelop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource allocation
• \tCoordinate with school administration, faculty, and contractors to schedule project activities in alignment with academic calendars and operational requirements.
• \tContractor Management
• \tOnboard contractors and vendors for construction and renovation projects.
• \tEnsure compliance with school policies and regulations.
• \tOversee contractor performance, including monitoring progress, quality of work, and adherence to timelines and budget.
Quality Assurance
• \tConduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets established standards and specifications
• \tAddress any issues or concerns promptly to maintain project integrity and safety standards
Stakeholder Communication
• \tServe as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries, updates, and communications
• \tProvide regular progress reports to school leadership, stakeholders, and relevant committees
Risk Management
• \tIdentify potential risks and obstacles that may impact project delivery and develop mitigation strategies
• \tProactively address issues as they arise to minimise disruptions and maintain project momentum
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
• \tEnsure all construction and renovation activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
• \tWork with contractors to obtain necessary permits and approvals as required by regulatory authorities
Position Requirements
• \tMinimum 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in Project Management and coordination
• \tExperience in Program Risk Management and Change Management
• \tAble to understand construction and technical drawings, specifications and requirements
• \tStrong experience and knowledge in construction and workplace safety regulations
• \tHighly motivated and adaptable with a 'can-do' attitude
• \tEffective communication skills
• \tHighly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project)
• \tKnowledge in AutoCAD
• \tRequires after office hours and weekends work
• \tAble to work independently with little supervision and guidance Qualifications
• \tDegree in Project Management / Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or equivalent with minimum 8 years of relevant experience OR Diploma in Project Management / Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or equivalent with 12 years of relevant experience
Working Hours:
8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
