Job Summary

Lead the development and enforcement of comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment across construction sites. Drive safety audits, training, accident investigations, and regulatory liaison to support continuous improvement and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Company's safety policies and procedures to align with regulatory standards and operational needs
  • Guide and support site teams to execute health and safety plans effectively, ensuring compliance and risk reduction
  • Conduct thorough health and safety audits on construction sites to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions
  • Design and deliver periodic health and safety training programs to enhance site personnel's awareness and capabilities
  • Maintain accurate health and safety statistics and records to monitor performance and inform decision-making
  • Liaise with Government Agencies to manage health and safety compliance, including factory permit applications and statutory requirements
  • Investigate all site accidents, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive health and safety measures to avoid recurrence
  • Collaborate with Senior Project Manager and Project Manager to address all site safety matters and integrate safety into project management
  • Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the Occupational Health Safety management program across sites
  • Plan and conduct safety awareness programs to foster a proactive safety culture
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of staff to promote safety engagement and compliance
  • Demonstrate hands-on attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement as a collaborative team player

Required competencies and certifications
  • Valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
  • Certificate in Design for Safety Appreciation Course
  • Certificate as Environmental Control Officer for Specified Construction Sites
  • Certificate in Developing Risk Management Implementation Plan
  • Certificate in WSQ Manage Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites
  • Certificate in WSQ Manage Work At Height

Preferred competencies and qualifications
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
