Job Summary

Lead business development and market analysis initiatives for Rock Phosphate across Southeast Asia, driving strategic growth through market insights, customer engagement, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market demand, supply, and pricing trends in priority markets (Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam) and secondary markets (Rest of SEA/North Asia) to provide monthly forecasts to management
• Identify and engage new potential customers and partners to expand business opportunities within the Rock Phosphate sector
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to support retention and growth
• Manage customer onboarding processes including Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance and maintain updated customer profiles
• Facilitate customer requests for product samples and support new product registration processes
• Conduct in-depth analysis of Malaysian, Indonesian, and Vietnamese phosphate fertilizer market dynamics, including supply chain factors, local importers, producer intermediaries, end consumers, competitors, and commodity market impacts such as Palm Oil and global pricing indices
• Build and sustain relationships with key commercial and non-commercial stakeholders, including importers, agricultural institutes, research centers, policymakers, and government/non-government agencies
• Monitor regional and local phosphate fertilizer developments regularly and access credible trade statistics to generate predictive market insights supporting the Market Analysis team
• Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports on market developments and updates to the headquarters team
• Represent the company at regional and international industry events, seminars, and conferences to enhance market presence and gather intelligence
• Perform ad-hoc duties within the scope of responsibilities as required by the company

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree with a background in the fertilizer industry
• Minimum 5-8 years of commercial experience in Southeast Asia with demonstrated expertise in the fertilizer ecosystem
• Extensive experience in commercial and market analysis of phosphate-based fertilizers including Rock Phosphate, Phosphoric Acid, DAP, MAP, and TSP
• Proficiency in English for effective communication across regional and global teams

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Regional language skills such as Malay or Bahasa to facilitate local market engagement and stakeholder communication
