Role overview
We're hiring a hands-on Cook/ Chef who will work with a more junior teammate to handle ingredient prep (fish, meat, vegetables) and manage cooking mostly with combi oven and burner to a lesser extent. Key responsibilities
- Lead and exercise judgment when cooking with combi-oven
- Prepare and portion ingredients: fish, poultry, meat and vegetables, following recipes and food safety rules
- Operate and maintain combi oven for cooking according to SOPs
- Basic cook tasks: seasoning, cooking, finishing orders for takeaway
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment and utensils
- Follow Halal handling procedures (guidance provided) and inventory management
- Assist with stock receiving and basic food cost control
Requirements
- 3-7 years' kitchen experience (cook, prep or combi oven experience preferred)
- Good personality and willing to guide. Value teamwork.
- Basic knife skills and safe handling of raw proteins
- Able to work in a fast-paced cloud kitchen environment, follow instructions and willing to contribute to new ideas
- Food hygiene certification (WSQ / basic food hygiene) Level 1 is a must
- Able to work rotating shifts and weekends; physically fit for lifting and standing
Working hours
- Normal working hours: up to 44 hours per week, weekly day off.
- Overtime as per MOM guidelines.
- Rest day: One rest day per week; rotating rest day on weekends possible.
- Annual leave: Per MOM requirement, after probation period and increase based on years of service.
- CPF: Employer CPF contributions for Singapore Citizens / PRs.
