Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled English Teacher who can inspire a love for language, literature, and communication. The role involves developing students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills through engaging, inquiry-based instruction aligned with international best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Academic & Instructional
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned to CBSE learning outcomes and international benchmarks
Teach Reading, Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary, Speaking & Listening using differentiated strategies
Design inquiry-based activities, discussions, debates, presentations, and creative writing tasks
Integrate literature, real-world texts, and interdisciplinary connections
Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and personalize learning
Curriculum & Assessment
Contribute to curriculum planning, lesson design, and assessment frameworks
Develop worksheets, rubrics, reading programs, and writing portfolios
Support students in academic writing, comprehension, and verbal articulation
Prepare students for internal assessments and standardized benchmarks (where applicable)
Student Development & Pastoral Care
Foster confidence, curiosity, and clear self-expression in students
Support diverse learners, including ESL/EAL students, with targeted strategies
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
Mentor students in presentations, performances, and public speaking
Collaboration & School Life
Work closely with subject teachers to support cross-curricular language development
Communicate regularly with parents on student progress
Participate in school events, literacy programs, assemblies, and professional development
Contribute to school initiatives, clubs, or enrichment activities related to language and literature
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Literature, Education, or related field
Recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGDE, or equivalent preferred)
2-5+ years of relevant teaching experience (international / CBSE / ICSE preferred)
Experience teaching Primary or Middle School students
Strong command of spoken and written English
Skills & Competencies
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Ability to differentiate instruction for varied learning needs
Strong lesson planning, assessment, and feedback practices
Comfort with educational technology, LMS platforms, and digital resources
