We are seeking a dedicated Finance and Accounts Executive to join our growing retail startup in Singapore. This role is essential in managing a wide range of financial and operational responsibilities to ensure smooth day-to-day business functions and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Complete daily sales reconciliations for our retail stores and prepare detailed reconciliation reports.
• Manage weekly online banking payments and regularly distribute fund reports.
• Handle employee reimbursements and oversee bank accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
• Serve as the primary contact for all finance-related aspects of our point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Coordinate GST deduction applications, either independently or with external tax agents, ensuring timely and precise submissions.
• Manage periodic tax declarations, collaborating with external tax professionals as needed.
• Receive policies and guidelines from headquarters, summarise local feedback, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Organise and archive key financial documents including contracts and receipts.
• Lead the annual accounting audit, tax audit, and tax declaration processes, and prepare the official government-mandated annual report.
• Generate sales performance analysis reports to support strategic business decisions.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial reconciliation, tax compliance, and operational coordination, ideally within a retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of GST and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency with banking systems, POS software, and financial tools; accounting software (especially Oracle NetSuite) and spreadsheet applications.
• Excellent organisational skills paired with clear, effective communication.
• The ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships with external agents and China headquarters.
