Job Summary

You will lead comprehensive financial operations including accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to optimize profitability, ensure compliance, and support sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support full sets of accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger to maintain accurate financial records
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and enhance decision-making capabilities
• Analyze financial performance data to provide actionable insights that optimize profitability and operational efficiency
• Prepare and present regular financial reports and presentations to senior management and stakeholders to inform business strategy
• Lead the bi-annual budgeting process by collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with organizational objectives
• Oversee product costing activities including standard cost setting and cost roll-ups, analyzing key cost drivers such as materials, labor, depreciation, yield, and overhead absorption
• Identify and recommend cost-reduction opportunities by partnering with operations to evaluate make-or-buy decisions and process improvements
• Monitor budget versus actual financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to maintain financial discipline
• Prepare rolling financial forecasts to anticipate trends and support agile business decision-making
• Optimize banking relationships and implement cash management strategies to maximize returns on surplus funds
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure sufficient funding for operational needs
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies through robust financial reporting and controls
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and ensure timely filing of financial statements and tax returns
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity
• Complete and submit all GST returns accurately and on time to maintain regulatory compliance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar financial management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Proven leadership and team management skills to guide and develop finance teams
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, including those based in China
• Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to analyze data and prepare reports
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities to manage complex financial tasks
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
• Knowledge of Singapore labor and employment laws is advantageous
• Proactive, organized, and meticulous work approach with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
