The Role

As a Mechanical / Electrical Service Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of access equipment. A key requirement of this role is bench work, involving detailed electrical testing and mechanical inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and mechanical plant machinery throughout the customer fleet.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve operational equipment problems and electrical faults.
• System Upgrades: Plan, design, and install electrical systems, including AC/DC motor controls and PLC programming.
• Technical Analysis: Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, schematics blueprints, and circuit diagrams.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all equipment operates in a safe manner in accordance with Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed logs and reports of all maintenance and repair work completed.
• General Workshop Duties: Support the team with yard duties, loading/unloading trucks, and maintaining stock inventory.

Requirements

• Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in English, with the ability to both speak and write effectively to communicate within the team and complete documentation.
• Trade Experience: Proven past experience in both electrical and mechanical trades is essential.
• Troubleshooting Specialist: Extensive experience in diagnosing mechanical failures and electrical circuit issues.
• Education: A Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or related field) will be viewed as a significant advantage.
• Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills are required for data entry and generating maintenance reports.
• Technical Skills: Experience with VFC inspections, motor repairs, welding, and assembly of machinery or winches.
• Licences: * A valid Class 3 Driving Licence is considered an advantage.
• Possession of a valid Forklift licence is preferred.
