Job Summary

Ensure full compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) laws by leading risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards. Advise management on safety policies and liaise with authorities to uphold a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead contractors to achieve full compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Acts and Regulations for all project works
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify and evaluate foreseeable workplace hazards and risks
• Attend and actively participate in all safety inspections and meetings to monitor and improve workplace safety standards
• Develop and implement practicable measures to eliminate or control identified risks to ensure a safe working environment
• Prepare and submit daily safety reports to the Board, documenting findings and corrective actions taken
• Provide expert advice to management on safety policies, procedures, and corrective actions to enhance workplace safety
• Liaise effectively with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and other relevant authorities during inspections or incident investigations to ensure regulatory compliance

Required competencies and certifications

• Successful completion of relevant training courses approved by the Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health, demonstrating competency as a WSH Officer
• Registration or certification as a WSH Officer (e.g., MOM-registered in Singapore)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in workplace safety and health management
