The project is to be carried out in collaboration with Schaeffler to study "collision monitoring and control system of cobot based on fiber optic sensing and deep learning". Research Assistant/ Project Officer will be supporting the Project Lead to deliver the project, ensuring that the overall project output meets the requirements.

Research Assistant/Project Officer's responsibilities; whilst not exhaustive will include:

• Work with internal team members, interfacing teams, partners and suppliers to ensure technical requirements are understood as required
• Plan and execute experiments
• Capture and analyse data
• Resolve technical problems
• Perform technical research and technical report writing

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic, Optical Engineering or related field from a reputable University
• Experience in sensing, condition monitoring or structural health monitoring
• Proficiency in basics of programming languages such as C, C++ and Python
