Job Summary

Assist the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer in managing safety and health issues within a construction environment to maintain a hazard-free and secure job site.

Responsibilities

• Assist the WSH Officer in managing Workplace Safety & Health issues specific to construction projects
• Promote and enforce safe work practices at the construction site to build a strong safety culture
• Prepare and submit safety reports as requested by management or regulatory authorities
• Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate hazards, ensuring a safe work environment
• Report safety concerns and incidents to relevant authorities in compliance with regulations
• Receive and respond to orders from Department of Labor inspectors promptly and accurately
• Coordinate construction activities according to approved layout plans to ensure compliance and safety
• Monitor worker attendance to maintain accurate manpower records and support project scheduling
• Ensure adequate manpower and resources are available to meet project and safety requirements
• Supervise the proper use and maintenance of machinery and equipment to prevent accidents and downtime
• Follow up on site inspections with the relevant authorities (e.g., RTO) to address any issues found
• Resolve worker disputes on site by facilitating communication and problem-solving
• Report project progress and safety status regularly to managers, engineers, and supervisors
