Position: Secondary MYP Mathematics Teacher (IB Curriculum- Chinese Track)

Report to: Secondary Principal and Vice Principal

Core Responsibilities:

Instruction and curriculum: Teach mathematics lessons based on IB Curriculum in Mandarin and English and help students understand mathematical concepts and their connection to real-world problems.

Student assessment and progress: Plan, prepare, and grade homework, quizzes, and exams. Monitor student progress and provide individualized instruction to meet diverse needs.

Classroom management: Maintain a positive, orderly, and interactive classroom environment while managing discipline.

Collaboration: Work with other teachers and academic Leads to develop curriculum and activities, and communicate with group advisors regarding student learning.

Professional development: Stay updated on teaching standards, contribute to the school's professional atmosphere, and promote excellence and perseverance in students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: A bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field is typically required.
• Experience: Previous teaching experience, especially in a MYP curriculum, are often preferred.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of mathematics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and engage students are essential.
• Language: Fluency in Mandarin and English is required, as this position involves delivering lessons in both Mandarin and English
