Job Purpose

To lead and manage all aspects of data centre construction projects (green field), ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with stringent quality and safety standards. This role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and technical expertise to coordinate resources, resolve challenges, and meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and motivate site teams, including Engineers and Foremen, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Provide clear direction and guidance to ensure compliance with quality procedures and standards of workmanship.
• Mentor and develop team members to enhance technical skills and leadership capabilities.

Planning & Programme Management

• Monitor and review the master construction programme for data centre projects, preparing catch-up programmes where necessary.
• Develop detailed programmes for the site team to follow, ensuring timely completion of works.
• Plan all site activities, including programme schedules and construction methods, and forecast equipment, material, and manpower requirements.
• Monitor progress against programme and cost against budget, implementing corrective actions when required.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all works meet data centre specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Check the quality and quantity of work performed by subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
• Promote and enforce a safe working environment across all project phases.

Technical Coordination

• Resolve drawing discrepancies and technical challenges in collaboration with the technical team.
• Prepare detailed method statements and work instructions for construction activities.
• Liaise with the Design team on submissions related to CSA works and technical issues.

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate effectively between private clients, subcontractors, and inter-departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor site manpower and resources to meet schedules and project objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in data centre projects.
• Proven track record in leadership and planning roles.
• Familiarity with data centre design standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance processes.
• Proficiency in project scheduling tools and MS Office applications.
