Job description

-Responsible for all safety, health and environmental issues on various project sites within the company.

- Organize safety & health training and promotional activities, identifying hazards and advice control measures.

- Supervise and lead a team of Workplace Safety Health personnel and interface with operational staff on safety matters.

- Manage a variety of environmental, health and safety (EHS) activities to ensure that the organization complies with external EHS regulations and standards as well as internal environmental policies and EHS management systems

- Monitor environmental performance and identifying risks or areas for improvement, conducting safety & health audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment practices and working conditions.

- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of HSE professionals to ensure that the organization's HSE strategies is implemented effectively and within established budgets and that the company complies with all relevant regulations, laws and standards.

- Initiate investigation into all accidents or incidents or dangerous occurrences and recommend corrective or preventive measures to prevent recurrences.

- Ensure that the environmental issues such as drainage, noise monitoring, pollution control and pest control are implemented in accordance with the statutory requirements and advise site staff accordingly.

-Advocate and inculcate a strong safety culture within the company.

Job Requirements

- Degree in Engineering or Environmental, Health and Safety or other relevant subjects.

- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower.

-Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental field.

- Good knowledge of Government Regulations relating to Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental areas.

- Familiar with OSH/ ISO documentation.

- Good communication & writing skills is required
