  • seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee all commercial, contractual, and financial aspects of civil and infrastructure projects.
  • The ideal candidate is highly skilled in contract negotiation, cost management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder management, ensuring that all agreements are secured in the organisation's best interest.

Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial and contractual activities across civil and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and internal governance standards.
  • Drive end-to-end contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and partners to secure favourable terms and protect the company's commercial position.
  • Analyse and interpret contract conditions, tender documents, and commercial risks, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage claims, variations, extension-of-time submissions, and dispute resolution matters.
  • Oversee project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure healthy project margins.
  • Monitor financial and commercial performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Lead procurement and subcontract strategy, including drafting, reviewing, and finalising subcontract agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, and finance to ensure accurate cost tracking and alignment with commercial objectives.
  • Support tendering activities, pricing strategies, and bid reviews to enhance competitiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders while safeguarding the organisation's commercial and contractual interests.

Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 10 years of commercial management experience within civil, geotechnical, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of contract forms (e.g., PSSCOC, FIDIC) and construction law principles.
  • Proven track record in negotiating favourable contract terms and managing complex commercial issues.
  • Hands-on experience with claims, variations, risk analysis, and dispute resolution.
