Job Summary

The medium voltage (MV) Switchgear Project Manager leads the end-to-end delivery of MV switchgear projects (22kV & 6.6kV) in Singapore, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and quality execution while coordinating cross-functional teams and engaging key stakeholders to meet client specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple MV switchgear projects concurrently from contract award to final client handover, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource-loaded timelines using project management tools to optimize execution
• Manage project budgets by tracking costs, issuing invoices, administering variations/change orders, and ensuring profitability and cash flow
• Serve as the primary liaison for clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, delivering regular progress updates and managing expectations effectively
• Identify project risks proactively, develop and implement mitigation strategies, and resolve issues promptly to safeguard project outcomes
• Enforce strict adherence to company Environment Health and Safety policies, Singapore safety regulations, and project-specific quality standards, coordinating site safety compliance with the Installation Section Head
• Coordinate labour, materials, equipment delivery, and specialized testing resources across business units in collaboration with Logistics and Installation Section Heads
• Facilitate coordination with clients, consultants, and OEMs during factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, and commissioning activities

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is highly advantageous
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 8-10 years managing complex electrical infrastructure or energy projects involving MV switchgear installation and commissioning
• At least 3-4 years in a project management or leadership role within the power sector in Singapore
• Strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract administration
• Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Familiarity with Singapore electrical codes and safety regulations
